Brandon - Frances Jane Adams Perdue, 91, died Monday, May, 14, 2018, surrounded by her family after a brief illness.

Jane was born in Jones County on June 12, 1926. She graduated high school in Jones County as valedictorian of her class. She graduated from Mississippi College with honors, and then taught English in the Pearl school system.

Jane later returned to Mississippi College School of Law and was a member of the first graduating class. She practiced law in Pearl for many years. She served as public defender in Rankin County for approximately 10 years and was a well-respected and compassionate Juvenile Court Judge for 11 years. She also served as Family Masters Judge for the Rankin County Chancery Court.

She was a long time member of Pearson Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for over 40 years.

Jane is survived by her sons, Michael Perdue (Lynne), and Harry Perdue (Ginger); 3 grandchildren, Jana Stanley (Aaron), Julie Puckett (Gary), and Clayton Perdue; and 2 great-grandchildren, Janie and Cate Stanley.

She is predeceased by her husband, Roy Perdue, and daughter, Dixie Perdue Haslob.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00pm, Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Services will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, May 17, 2018, in the funeral home chapel with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl.
