2/14/1975-4/05/2020 Peter Holdsworth, age 45, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on April 5, 2020 in Parma, OH. A 1993 graduate of Saint Ignatius High School, Pete earned a law degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and has been an attorney at Wegman Hessler since 2007. Pete was the son of Anne and the late James Holdsworth of Fairview Park, Ohio. He is survived by his wife Rebecca (Becky) Holdsworth; children, Andrew, Aidan and Ianthe; brothers, James (Heather), Thomas (Jana), Patrick (Kristin) and Neil; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Pete was the best father, husband, lawyer, family member or friend anyone could ever ask for. He was kind, friendly, energetic and often sweaty from playful activity with kids and adults alike. He was a competitor, yet ever the humble winner. He brought light to any room he was in with his laugh, his smile and his wit. He was never one to stress, nor to cause any stress, and was always dependable in everything. Pete loved life to the fullest and always put others' safety and happiness before his own. A memorialization of his life will be held at a later date. I was shocked and saddened when I heard the terrible news about Pete's passing away. I practiced law with Pete for a number of years. It was obvious to me that he had all of the skills and personality to become an excellent attorney. He was hard working and and had a great legal mind. He will truly be missed by his family and those with whom he had contact on a regular basis.

God Speed Peter.

Holdsworth Family -

Please accept my heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies on the loss of Pete. I had the good fortune of meeting Pete in high school at St. Ignatius, and had the pleasure of playing football with him for four years. As mentioned in the beautiful obituary that captured Pete so well, he was equal parts smart, funny, kind, and humble, while at the same time being one of the fiercest competitors you will ever find. He was a great teammate, but an even better person. Several years ago my path crossed with Pete's during a case we were working on. It struck me that Pete had not changed a bit from our high school days. That still makes me smile. Pete made an impression on everyone he met, and I will miss him dearly. Please pass along the details of the upcoming memorial service for Pete, and I will make sure to pass it along to the St. Ignatius Class of 93.

My deep heartfelt condolences to the family. First introduced to Pete at a luncheon for work, no attorney as ever been kinder or more welcoming to a support staff employee. As we shared birthday months, Pete proudly told me he was married on his birthday, Valentine's Day, February 14. What a gift he was to his family and friends. Rest in peace, kind soul. You made a difference.

To the family and friends of Pete,

I played basketball with Pete for years on Sunday nights at St. Angela. First let me say that we are all shocked and profoundly saddened by the sudden passing of Pete. He was a great competitor, athlete and man. I always knew I had a chance to win when I played with him because he always gave 110% which was evident from all the sweat he left on the floor up there. If you got a rebound on his watch you earned it because he got most of them. He was the kind of guy that would loosen your filling with a screen or knock you down with a solid box out then be the first guy to help you up and dust you off to make sure you were alright. Pete came into the gym with a smile and left the same way. If they have basketball in heaven, I'm sure Pete is playing and bringing his A game because he always did on Sundays. You will be missed dearly. RIP Pete. Until we meet again. AMDG
