MOUNT CARROLL, Ill. — Sam Logosz, age 75, of Mt. Carroll, Illinois, died Tuesday, January 13, 2009, at the FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport, Illinois. Cremation rites were accorded. Sam was born March 1, 1933, in Grassy Butte, North Dakota, the son of Mike and Mary (Zevik) Logosz. He married Sandy Rose in Mt. Carroll, Illinois. Sam served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War. He worked as a truck driver most of his life, most recently at J.T. Cullen in Fulton, Illinois. Sam enjoyed traveling, fishing, and working with his hands, particularly wood working. Sam is survived by his wife Sandy of Mt. Carroll, Illinois; and two sisters, Ann Walker of Mt. Carroll, and Dorothy Westby of Seattle, Washington. Sam was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John Logosz; and four sisters, Olga Logosz, Pauline Lund, Rosella Dalton, and Helen Pederson.Death date: Jan. 13, 2009
