CLINTON - Mr. George Wayne Autry, 60, of 1422 Enoch Road, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013, surrounded by his family at his home.

The funeral will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 4, at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton with the Rev. Billy Bass officiating. Burial will follow in Owen Grove PFWB Church Cemetery at Kitty Fork.

Wayne, born in Sampson County, was the son of Ruth Elizabeth Thornton Autry and the late George Autry. He was a retired farmer and had a passion for fishing and rabbit hunting. He was preceded in death by his father, George Autry; brother, Sammy T. Autry, and the love of his life life, Barbara Jean Williams Davis.

He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Autry Dorman of Four Oaks; his mother, Ruth Elizabeth Thornton Autry of Clinton; a grandchild, Perry Autry of Four Oaks; two brothers, Bobby S. Autry and wife Katie and Billy R. Autry and wife Gaynell, all of Clinton; best buddy and employer, Milton McLamb; nieces, nephews and many cousins, as well as his close friends.

The family will receive friends 2-3 p.m., the hour prior to the service, Sunday, Aug. 4, at the funeral home.
