Phyllis Walker Obituary
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at First United Methodist Church, with Pastor Jeb Archey officiating. Arrangements are made by Steed Todd Funeral Home.
Phyllis was born in Clovis, NM on November 4, 1933, to Terry and Eugenia Lee. She married Gene Walker on August 22, 1954, in Clovis.
Phyllis was a loving mother, wonderful homemaker, and enjoyed entertaining family and friends. She was involved in sorority and PEO, Chapter G. She enjoyed her friends and her bridge groups. She was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church of Clovis.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Gene Walker; sister, Helen Shaffer and husband Jim of Idaho Falls, Idaho; parents, Terry and Eugenia Lee; in-laws, Roy and Geno Walker; and grandson, Christopher Walker.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Mike Walker (Shanna) of Clovis, Laura Hampton (Leon) of Garland, Texas, and Jeff Walker (Debbie) of Celina, Texas; grandchildren, Shayne Walker (Sherry) of Clovis, Molly Martin (Travis) of Clovis, Tori Cardenas (Michael) of Celina, Texas, and Travis Walker (Kaitlee) of Austin, Texas; two great grandchildren, Jace Walker of Clovis and Elizabeth Cardenas of Celina, Texas; niece Carol Crumley (Mark) of Idaho Falls, Idaho; nephew, Joel Shaffer of Shoreline, Washington; and sister-in-law, Kathy Walker of Dallas, Texas.
The family of Phyllis wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the loving staff of Retirement Ranch.
Memorials may be given to the FUMC Memorial Fund, 1501 Sycamore, Clovis, NM 88101.
