Deloris (Lois) Howard was born August 23, 1944 to the late Jeff and Queen Esther Brown, in Jacksonville, Florida. She attended Liberty County School System. Deloris was a member of First A. B. Church, Riceboro, Georgia and was baptized at a young age. In 1977 she gave her heart to Jesus and moved her membership to True Born Holiness Church of Christ, Midway, Georgia. She attended service faithfully until her health failed. Deloris was a resident of Coastal Manor Nursing Home in Ludowici, Georgia for four years. Deloris worked at Richland Sea Pack, Brunswick, Georgia for over 30 years.
On January 12, 1963 Deloris married Randolph Howard Sr. To this union seven children were born. Deloris was preceded in death by her husband Randolph Howard Sr., and two daughters, Patricia Ann Cunningham and Wanda Howard. Deloris leaves to share her fond memories four sons; Johnny Mack Brown (Loretta), Tracy Howard, Atlanta, Georgia; Randolph (Randy) Howard, Bainbridge, Georgia; Rodnil Anthony Howard, Hampton, South Carolina; two daughters, Pamela Howard, Hinesville, Georgia and Tonda Howard, Midway, Georgia.
Also surviving her are six brothers, Jeff Brown, Jr., Arthur Brown and Tommy Brown (Ann Marie), all of Atlanta, Georgia; Timothy Brown (Karen), Walthourville, Georgia; Elton Brown (Louise), Riceboro, Georgia, and Marvin Brown (Ista) of Rancho Cucamonga, California; a loving and devoted sister, Ruby Marshall, Atlanta, Georgia; two brothers-in-law, Eddie Howard Sr., Atlanta, Georgia and Theodore (Ophelia) Howard, Riceboro, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Lillian Howard, Townsend, Georgia; Leola Howard, Miami, Florida; and Patricia Howard of Riceboro, Georgia; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Wake is from 7-8 p.m., Friday, January 11, 2019 at the funeral home.
Funeral services are at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 12, 2019 at First Zion Baptist Church, 1642 Barrington Ferry Road, Riceboro, Georgia 31323. Interment will be in First African Baptist Church Cemetery.
