He is survived by his mother, Andrea Konig; grandmother, Karin Ring; siblings, Nichole V. Minx (Joshua), Ryan M. Marck and Brianna L. Burgess (Jason); nieces and nephews, Zoe, Eva, Mila, Landen, Nathan, Bryson, Jayden, Jeremy, Silas and Titus.
Erik was raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He loved the mountains, the outdoors and adventuring. Early in his adulthood, he grew his small moving business over the course of several years. Following a hardship, he chose to simplify his life and start fresh. The beginning of his journey led him to Hinesville, Georgia. Here, he was closer to his younger sister and nephews. He became a member of St. Stephen First Martyr Catholic Church where he gained a second family.
He was an avid reader and found a passion for writing. He kept a daily journal where he would describe his life events. He wrote in such a way that it felt like you were next to him, experiencing his journey together. He gained a renewed zest for life with little to start with, but much to give. He stayed positive, even going through life's challenges. He held on to his sense of humor no matter the situation.
He never stopped learning, never stopped caring, and always put others first. Erik is a great example of how following one's dreams can bring new life. His humble, giving soul melted barriers and made it easy to love and be loved by him. He will be greatly missed but has earned many crowns in heaven.
