James F. "Jim" Butler, 73, of Savannah, Georgia, died January 11, 2019 at home. Jim was a native of Hinesville and a U.S. Air Force Veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He worked at Caroplast and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Allie and Welthy Butler. Survivors include his wife, Betty; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Larry Lee of Midway; nephews, Scott and wife Karen, and Donald. Other family members are: Wayne and Jannis Pickard, and sons, James, Donald, and Kelly; and Christy and Jeff Dubert. A gathering of family will be held on January 26, 2019 at his hunting club in honor of his memory.
