Hinesville - Mamie Lila (Jones) Fabian departed this life on Friday, April 20, 2018, at her residence in Hinesville.
She was born to the late Marietta Jones, April 6, 1927, in Liberty County. Mamie was educated in the public schools of Liberty County.
Mrs. Fabian was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Carl Fabian Sr. on July 27, 1942. She joined her husband in serving joyfully as a member of Jehovah's Witnesses. Mrs. Fabian was baptized in 1963 at the District Convention of Jehovah's Witnesses in Miami, Florida.
Mamie loved all of her children and was honest and sincere with everyone she met. She enjoyed working in her yard, traveling and yard sales. She also took pride in cleaning her home and kept many pictures of family and friends.
Mamie was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Carl Fabian Sr.; sons, Mr. Samuel Fabian, Mr. Carl Fabian Jr. and Mr. Donald Fabian; infant daughter, Gloria Jean Fabian; adoptive mother, Lucille Darden; brothers, Archie Smiley, Jr. and James Darden; and sisters, Viola Boyd and Vivian Campbell.
Mrs. Fabian leaves to cherish her memory; a daughter, Patsy "Elaine" Fabian Lewis (Lonnie Harold Lewis) of Hinesville; sisters, Ernestine Carroll of Albany and Maggie Anderson of Hinesville; sister-in-law, Rebecca Fabian; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A special thank you to the Hinesville Davita Dialysis Center for the special care they provided to Mamie for the past few years.
Her wake will be 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 25 at Dorchester Funeral Home in Midway.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 26, at Kingdom Hall Jehovah Witness.
Interment will be in Taylors Creek Cemetery.
