Maude Elizabeth Rigdon Fletcher, known to her Family and friends as Beth, departed this life from Advent Health Hospital in Ocala, Florida, on November 21, 2020.

Beth was born January 30, 1940 in Douglas, Georgia. Her parents were James Edward and Irene Rigdon.

Beth attended the schools of Coffee County (Douglas) and graduated from Coffee County High School where she actively participated, and thoroughly enjoyed music and was the lead majorette of the band.

She then went on to attend Georgia Southern College in Statesboro, Georgia, where she majored in Music and minored in Physical Education. She graduated with honors. She drove a 1932 Dodge named "Cynthia."

During her active career as a teacher she enjoyed working with young people, teaching them to love music as she did.

In 1961 she married Warren Delano Fletcher (Buster); the wedding took place in the First Baptist Church of Douglas, Georgia. The Bride wore a lovely gown handmade for her by her Aunt, Mrs. Cletha Tillman. Beth's three year old Sister, Cynthia Ann Rigdon, wore a miniature matching gown and was the flower girl in the wedding.

The couple was blessed with four children, James Robert, Laura Lyn (died in infancy), Mary Elizabeth and Michael.

While living in Crescent City, Florida Beth and Buster bought a Pharmacy called Thomas Drug Store and Beth had a successful Gift Shop as part of it which she named "Maude's Misgivings."

Beth loved life; she was always ready for new adventure. She was full of fun and had a wonderful sense of humor!

Beth later was married to Terry Richey and moved to Indiana, Terry's home, until his passing.

Beth later moved to Hinesville, Georgia to live with her Sister Cindie and Judy Shippey. During this time she was active in and was a member of Flemington Presbyterian Church (where she sang in the Choir) and the Morning Glory Garden Club. The Garden Club will plant a tree in Beth's memory on Arbor Day.

Beth was preceded in death by her Parents, her Daughter Laura Lyn, her Sister Betty Rigdon, and her Brother Roger Rigdon.

She is survived by her Sister Cindie Rigdon, her Brother Jim Rigdon, her Sons Jim (Melissa), Michael (Rae), her Daughter Mary Elizabeth (Skip), her Grandchildren Caleb, Amanda, Michaela, Delaney, Jillian, Chase, Aiden and Seth. Her Great-Grandchildren are Lillian, Dakota and Kloee.

Beth's Memory will always be cherished by her Family and a wide host of friends.

A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
