Hinesville- Maudie Lee Anderson departed this life peacefully at home at 9:01 p.m., November 8, 2018 in Hinesville, Georgia after a long battle with multiple health issues.
She is survived by her husband David Anderson, Sr., three brothers Johnnie Kinsey (Kathleen), Ike Kinsey (Ruth) and Carter Mack Kinsey Sr. all of Lansing Michigan; four children – Priscilla Swindell (Gary Sr.), Yolinda German, David Anderson, Jr. (Latonya), Felicia Anderson-Ross (Charles); nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Maudie was preceded in death by two brothers Jessie Cunningham and Joseph Cunningham.
Maudie was a faithful member of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Hinesville, Georgia, Mary Singleton Women's Missionary Society, West Savannah Area Women's Missionary Society, West Savannah District Lay Organization, Georgia Conference Lay Organization and Sixth Episcopal District Lay Organization.
A wake will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16 at the Dorchester Funeral Home in Midway. Funeral services are at noon on Saturday, Nov. 17 at Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 233 Gause Street, Hinesville. Rev. Stephen A. Lee will be the eulogist. Interment is 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19 at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 8819 U.S. Hwy 301, Glennville.
