Hinesville- Robert "Bob" Colbert passed away Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018 at home with family by his side.
Mr. Colbert was born on Jan. 16, 1946 to the late Robert T. and Patsy Colbert in Madison, Wisconsin. Mr. Colbert was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in Vietnam. After spending time in Pennsylvania and Germany, the Colbert's moved to and made Hinesville their home in 1977.
Survivors are son and daughter in law, Bobby and Erin Colbert of Knoxville, Tennessee; daughter and son in law, Meghan and Robert Boatright of Hinesville, Georgia; brother and sister in law, Greg and Allison Colbert of Winchester, Massachusetts; three grandchildren, Ryan, Cody and Elizabeth Althouse and two great grandchildren, Logan and Sawyer.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Bob Colbert will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov 3., at St. Philip's Episcopal Church in Hinesville. Rev. Denise M. Ronn will officiate service along with military honors being rendered. Interment will be in the church gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to VVA Chapter 789 PO Box 1679 Hinesville Georgia 31310.
