Long time resident, Audrey Quinn, passed peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, December 20th, 2020. Audrey Lucielle Meisel was
born on 11/16/32 in Rock Falls IL. Moving to Colorado when she was 13, Audrey and her younger brother, Ronnie, attended school in Lakewood.

Boyd Quinn asked Audrey to join him for an evening of midget racing at the Lakeside track. They were married 68 years and raised three children, Scott, Kathi and Casey. An aspiring competitive swimmer as a child led Audrey to advocate for the Idaho Springs Swimming Pool. She was the founder of the Idaho Springs Mother's Club supporting families of young children. Audrey worked as a recording secretary for both the Idaho Springs and Clear Creek County governments and was then employed for 21 years at the Clear Creek County Road and Bridge Department. Audrey was also Room Mother, Scout Leader, PTA member, and organized the Idaho Springs birthday calendar for many years.
Audrey loved living in the mountains and her garden was filled with aspen and pine trees, rose bushes, mountain flowers and hummingbirds galore. Audrey is preceded by her granddaughter, Amanda, and sister Rosalie Schenk. Audrey is survived by her husband Boyd, sister, Connie Rowley and her three children. She will be missed by so many. A Memorial Service will be held at a future date. Please send donations in Audrey's name to Loaves & Fishes, 545 Chicago Creek Road, Idaho Springs, CO 80452
