Dorothy June Terry, a retired cosmetics industry account manager, died at home Nov. 18, 2020 in Centennial, Colo., after a long illness. She was 93.Terry was born April 10, 1927 in Kansas City, Mo., to the late James and Vera (Turley) Brown. She was graduated from Rosedale High School in Kansas City, Kan., in 1945. She was a member of the National Thespian Dramatic
Honor Society for High Schools and a cheerleader. Terry stayed in touch with her high school friends - known as the Rosedale Roses - throughout her life. In 1947, Terry was graduated from Kansas City, Kan. Junior College. There she met her future husband - the late Everett "Jack" William Terry, a basketball player back from serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II. They
married in 1950 and moved to Colorado in 1954. After raising her children, Terry had a successful career as a cosmetics industry account manager responsible for multistate territories for international brands, including Charles of the Ritz. She was a long-time member of the nonprofit Fashion Group International. Terry is pre-deceased by her only sibling, James Glenn Brown. She is
survived by her sons, Lance William Terry (Cyndia Zwahlen) and Reed Thomas Terry, of Littleton, Colo., her three grandchildren
and her great-grandchild. Terry will be remembered for her love of family and her gracious kindness to all. A private celebration of life will be held in the summer.

Dorothy's outward beauty was matched by her beautiful, kind spirit. She was like another grandmother to my sister and I and we shared many wonderful afternoons with her after school. I feel blessed to have had Dorothy in my life, she will be dearly missed.

Dorothy was such a sweet, graceful woman. She was always so kind and welcoming. A beautiful presence in our neighborhood and in my life. I’m grateful for all of the memories she touched in my childhood. Thank you for everything Dorothy. You will be missed.

Dorothy was a treasured friend and neighbor who meant so much to our family. She was like a 3rd grandmother to my daughters, and a trusted, dear friend to me.
