Ron Obituary
Ron, 60, of Gillette, WY passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with prostate cancer. He was born in Boulder, CO, the second son of Glenn and Aline. Ron graduated from Centaurus High School in 1976, and then attended college in Greeley, CO. Ron proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1979-1983, serving as a dental assistant at Hahn Air Force Base in Germany. After his discharge, he returned to Louisville and worked at various jobs, eventually becoming a journeyman electrician, a trade he loved and worked at until cancer engulfed his whole body. Ron's profession took him to Gillette, where he made his home for the past 15 years. He spent his final days in the wonderful care of Close to Home Hospice, in Gillette. Ron leaves behind his mother, Aline, brother Tom (Judy), sisters Karen (Alan) Scarpella and Mary (Tom) Rizzuto, along with three nephews, three nieces, four great nephews, and five great nieces. Ron also leaves behind many loving relatives and friends. Ron was preceded in death by his father, Glenn, in 2013. A celebration of life will be held on March 10, 2018, at 11am, at Tri City Elks in Louisville with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Close to Home Hospice, 300 s.
