Steven Glen Snyder (Snyds), a 43-year resident of Louisville, Colorado, passed away at home on Friday, January 26, 2018, at the age of 70. Steve is predeceased by his son Todd Steven, father and mother Glen and Frieda, brother Wally, niece Jessica Schroeder, and great-nephew Wolfgang Schroeder. Steve is survived by Jan, his wife of 43 years. Steve is also survived by his daughter, Stacey; sisters, Marcia Fitzgerald and Linda Crump, sisters-in-law, Shirley Grantham and Bev Smith; brothers-in law, Mike Fitzgerald and Richard Smith; nieces and nephews, Chris Fitzgerald, Dan Fitzgerald, Emma Snyder, Gayle Tenorio, Troy Smith, and Mark Smith; and ten great-nieces and nephews. Steve is a Colorado native and a graduate of Westminster High School. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in General Sciences/Chemistry and went on to earn his Master's Degree in Computer Education. Steve worked as an educator, coach, and dean of students in Adams 12 Five Star School District for 31 years. For 20 summers, he taught swim lessons, coached the swim team, and managed the Louisville city pool. For six years, Steve was a member of the United States Army Reserves. A celebration of life service will be held at United Church of Broomfield, 825 Kohl Street, Broomfield, CO 80020, on February 24, 2018, at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers and in honor of Steve, please consider taking family and/or friends to visit and enjoy a National Park of your choice.
