Winifred M. Stout passed away March 29 at the age of 92.
Winifred was a native Coloradan and resided in Brighton. She traveled between Montana and California.
Her parents, Thomas and Winifred, and her siblings Mary, Jim, Joe, Rosalind, and Barbara, preceded her in death. Survivors are her children Tom, Mari, Michele, Mike, John and Larry, and their spouses, Melanie, Kathy, Jackie and Christie.
Winifred was a loving grandmother to Alicia Stout Kretsch and husband, Michael, Kendra Stout Wymbs and husband, William, Damon (Christopher) Stout and wife, Regina, Brook Pilon and husband, Dan, Donovan McReynolds and wife Christina, Bonny McReynolds, Brandi Olivas and husband Brian, Casey Stout and wife Brianna, and Nathan Stout. Other survivors include 17 wonderful grandchildren, Justin, Koen, Milana, Haley, Jessica, Anna, Kelly, Mandy, Olive, Penelope, Sylvie, Isabella, Olivia, Marisa, Van, Kolby and Maddy.
Winifred loved and enjoyed Estes Park to see the elk rut, aspen trees, mountains and all its beautiful wildlife. She worked briefly at the Denver Butterfly Pavilion where she shared the love of nature with school children of all ages.
Some of her favorite travels were always to Montana for Ashley Lake; California for the otters, whales at the coastline; Hawaii for her 80th birthday and for their aloha; and especially to Ireland, where she loved the warmth of the people and sharing a piece of her heritage with the Irish families on a "Soft Day."
Winifred was loved by all and will be deeply missed. Please join us for a day of celebration which will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home, 75 S. 13th Ave., Brighton. Reception will immediately follow.
