Junior "Paw Paw" Phillips

Junior Glen "Paw Paw" Phillips went home to be with our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 10, 2017. He was born in Tyronza, Arkansas. He leaves behind his loving wife of 65 years, Wanda Whitt Phillips and "his baby" Rita Phillips White and Lesa Mears. He was adored by his two grandsons, Julian White, Phillip Mears; his grand-dogs, Teddy, Millie, and Ollie.
He was preceded in death by infant son, Glen Carroll Phillips III, parents, Glen Carroll Phillips and Rose Ruffin Phillips Purnell, and brother, Billy Ray Phillips.
Junior loved his friends, Holy Trinity Church Family and two best buddies, Bill Cane and Al Akins. To cherish his memory, he leaves behind one sister, Margie Heflin; sister-in-law, Etta Montgomery, and brother- in- law and dear friend, VJ Whitt and wife, Linda. He is survived by two nieces and four nephews; one great-niece and nephew.
Junior attended Bay High School in Bay, Arkansas and married the love of his life, Wanda Whitt in 1952. He was a general technician for General Motors, for 42 years and he was one of the best mechanics in Arkansas.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 14 at Holy Trinity Community Church at 685 S. Highland Street, Memphis, TN, 38111 at 2 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 3 p.m.
