Harvey Gerald Durham, 84, of Memphis, died Monday, August 19, 2013 at Gallaway Healthcare and Rehab. Mr. Durham was an Army Veteran and was a retired Machinist at International Harvester. He was the Union Steward. He loved fishing, camping, water-skiing on Arkansas and Tennessee lakes. Mr. Durham was best known for dancing away his Saturday nights at the International Harvester Union Hall. Surviving is his wife of 62 years, Alice Marie Durham; his three daughters, Debbie Chambers (Mike) of Indianapolis; Sue Durham of Memphis; and Dean Maness (Mike) of Owasso, OK; five grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; sister, Ann Deloach of Maumelle, Arkansas; and his brother, Wallace Durham (Peggy) of Collierville. He was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Durham. The family would like to thank Gallaway Health Care and Crossroads Hospice for their compassionate care. The family will receive friends at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home on Friday, August 23, 2013 at 11 a.m. Funeral Services begin at noon. Interment will be at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery. So sorry to hear of Gerald's death...I always thought he was my most handsome cousin and attended several of the dances at Harvester Lane in the 1990's when my mom his Aunt Nin lived in Frayser....seems the Durham's are getting fewer and fewer...my love and prayers to all his family....God Speed Gerald....your cousin, Frances Taylor Hart
