Humboldt - Thomas Ashley, Sr. Graveside services for Mr. Ashley, age 93, will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 3, with military honors in Rose Hill Cemetery in Humboldt, TN, Tim Rowland officiating. Visitation will be at Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until service time on Wednesday. Mr. Ashley, a 31 year employee of South Central Bell, a World War II veteran, and member of the Humboldt Church of Christ, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013, at the Tennessee State Veteran’s Home in Humboldt. Mr. Ashley was preceded in death by his parents, Alton E. and Anna Betty (Tucker) Ashley and Isau (Lucas) Ashley, his wife of 63 years. He is survived by a daughter, Linda Johnson of Memphis; a son, Thomas Ashley, Jr. of Nashville; a sister, Emma Jean Norris of Tiptonville, TN; a brother, George Ashley of Eads, TN; grand-children, Susan Foshee of Bartlett and Steven Johnson of Germantown; and great-grandchildren, Cordie Mae Foshee and Callie Jayne Foshee, both of Bartlett and Clara Grace Johnson of Germantown.
