WILLIAM TOM BUTCHER, 84, retired correctional officer, Elder in the COGIC, U.S. Army veteran of Korean War, died August 29, 2013. Visitation, Tuesday, September 3 from 5-7 p.m. at J.E. Herndon Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 4 at Emmanuel COGIC, 345 W. Peebles Rd. Burial in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. He leaves his wife, Beatrice Butcher; five daughters, Jackie Matchem (Fred), Gale Moore (Larry), Darnie Dixon (Elvis), Joyce Taylor (Herman) and Rachel Flowers. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Butcher and a son, William Butcher III. J.E. Herndon Funeral Home (901)353-4499
