The Commercial Appeal, commercialappeal.com will publish a three line (free) obituary, which is submitted by the Funeral Home. Obituaries are accepted from licensed funeral homes.
Additional details may be included on a cost-per-word basis. The initial cost is $60, which includes heading (deceased name and dateline). Each word is $1.25. A photo of your loved one may also be submitted for $15. Payments may be made by debit/credit card or billed to local funeral homes (with established credit). We verify all deaths. Family members must provide proof of death through a funeral home, crematorium or medical research facility. Please email obituaries to [email protected]. Include your phone number, name, complete address information. Deadlines: 2 p.m. for next day publication. The Commercial Appeal must confirm all copy/cost.
