Aileen Cecilia Kinsella Obituary
Aileen Cecilia Kinsella

Memphis, TN

Aileen Cecilia Kinsella passed away on the evening of June 2, 2017, in her hometown of Memphis. Aileen's kind hearted spirit and infectious positivity will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was born February 4, 1929 to Margaret and Thomas Kinsella. The youngest of six, Aileen developed her love for others at a very early age. Her siblings, Mary Ellen, Margaret, Alice, Thomas, and Ann were her most coveted friends. The Kinsella household was never absent of excitement, chaos, and love. After graduating from Sacred Heart high school, Aileen began her professional career at State Savings Bank working in the accounting department. She then acquired a position at Merrill Lynch where she spent the majority of her professional career. Aileen's surplus of time was spent luxuriating in all of life's treasures. Whether is was the annual vacation to St. Louis to watch her beloved Cardinals, or a trip to California to visit her sister Alice, traveling was one of Aileen's favorite pastimes; however, of Aileen's most beloved activities was time spent with her family. Aileen's sister Margaret was her closest companion. The inseparable pair took trips, went dancing, and were staples at all of their nieces' and nephews' games, ballet recitals, etc. Loyal members of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Margaret and Aileen had a daily ritual of mass followed by breakfast, conversation and laughter.

A friend to all, Aileen's stubborn Irish blood made loyalty one of her greatest qualities. Her pure intentioned compassion for others was one influenced by her commitment to her faith. Her contagious joy could only be explained by her true practice of her Catholic morals.

Aileen is survived by her many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings Margaret, Mary Ellen, Alice, Ann, Thomas, and her niece Mimi Ulhmann and grandniece, Kate Witmer.

A funeral mass will be held at 10am on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at St. Louis Catholic Church. Her legacy of unconditional love and joy will be forever engraved in the hearts of her friends, family, and all who knew her.
