Anne Marie Desaix Robertson

Anne Marie Desaix Robertson, 86, of Jackson passed away in her home on January 22, 2016 after a long illness.

Anne Marie was born in Memphis, Tennessee on November 19, 1929 to Inez and Harry Desaix. She graduated from Central High School in Memphis, attended the University of Mississippi, and graduated from Memphis State University. Anne Marie received her Masters of Social Work from Tulane University in New Orleans in 1971.

Mrs. Robertson had three children, Thomas S. Robertson III (Cindy) of Tucson, Arizona, John D. Robertson II of Old Hickory, Tennessee, and Marianne Robertson Wallace (Jimmy) of Lake Charles, Louisiana. She worked for the Mississippi Department of Mental Health for 28 years and retired as the Director of the Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse, a position she held for 16 years. Anne Marie is survived by her three children, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents.

A funeral will be held at the Calvary Garden Mausoleum in the Calvary Cemetery in Memphis, TN on January 27, at 1 p.m. Visitation for Anne Marie Desaix Robertson will be held at the Calvary Garden Mausoleum in the Calvary Cemetery on January 27, at 12:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Anne Marie Desaix Robertson's name to St. Richard Catholic Church , PO Box 16547, Jackson, MS 39236-6547, Hospice Ministries, 450 Towne Center Blvd. Ridgeland, MS 39157 or Boys and Girls Clubs ,3155 E. Grant Rd., Tucson, AZ 85716.
