Audrey Obarski Stallings Obituary
Audrey Obarski Stallings

Collierville, tn

Audrey Obarski Stallings, 85, devoted wife of Franklin Craig Stallings, entered into the joy of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday July 29, 2017. Born on December 5,1931 to Bernard and Elsie Obarski in Chicago, Illinois, she spent most of her life in South Florida, raising her three children and loving her husband of nearly 66 years. Audrey remained active throughout her life, always contributing her many talents and skills in service to those she loved as Christ gave her the strength. From high school cheerleading and dance to her years with Beta Sigma Phi, her leadership shined. For several years she taught three and four-year olds at the First Presbyterian Church of Coral Springs, Florida. Most recently she adopted a class of high school girls from Collierville First Baptist Church, pouring her love and wisdom into them at every opportunity. Her example as a caregiver for her husband throughout the years stands out among all her many life accomplishments. Audrey was preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Melanie Mills (Ed). She is survived by a brother, Robert Obarski (Sheron), daughter Lorinda Sue Hill (Chip) and son, Kenneth Craig Stallings (Tina). Additionally she leaves three grandchildren, Jonathan Christopher Hill, Edward Mills, and Elizabeth Joy Hill-Booker (Brian). The most significant thing in Audrey's life was her relationship with Jesus Christ, received by God's grace alone through faith in Christ alone. Audrey lived out a daily, vibrant relationship with her Lord and her life stands as a testament to God's amazing grace.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Thursday, August 3, at Collierville First Baptist Church with services to begin at 1 p.m. the same day. Burial will be held at 10:45 on Friday, August 4, in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Collierville First Baptist Church, Collierville TN, Trinity Hospice, Memphis, Tennessee or Grace House, Deland, Florida.
