Bettye Jean Perkins Lott, 83, passed away February 10, 2017, at her home in Memphis, TN. Born in Carlisle, AR, August 8, 1933, Bettye was the daughter of Mary Catherine Tedford and Fred M. Perkins. She married Graham Lott in 1957.

Bettye is survived by her brother, Fred Perkins, Jr. of Little Rock, AR; her daughters Mary Beth Lott of Memphis, Jean Annette Lott Bedwell and her husband Jeff of Memphis, and Catherine Graham Lott Feminella and her husband Thomas of Ft. Myers, FL; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Bettye graduated from Hendrix College in Conway, AR. She worked as a home demonstration agent in Conway and as a home economics teacher in Mariana, AR. She devoted her life to raising her three daughters and serving her church and community.

A member of Underwood United Methodist Church and most recently Colonial Park United Methodist Church, Bettye was a Sunday school teacher and diligent worker in the United Methodist Women as well as other church functions.

Bettye was also active in the Oak and Elm Garden Club, two home economics clubs, and Methodist Hospital Auxiliary.

Bettye had pre-arranged to donate her body to the Medical Education Research Institute, Memphis, TN.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 18 at 2 p.m. at Colonial Park United Methodist Church, 5330 Park Ave., Memphis, TN. The family warmly welcomes anyone who wishes to attend.
