Blanche Rosamai Jackson Gross, 99 years old went to heaven on April 26,2017 at NHC Franklin, they were precious to her. She was born September 7, 1917. She grew up in Burlison TN with ten siblings on a farm. Blanche graduated from Munford High School. Her dad always told her she was the best cotton picker because her rows were clean. She enjoyed baseball playing and watching. Blanche was married for 67 years to Mervin E. Gross who preceeded her in death. They had four children: Barbara A. Patton (Ernest R.), Glen E. Gross (Nett), Sandra L. Collier (Mike E.), Tena A. Pratt (Richard A.) She was blessed with 4 grand children, 14 great grand children and 7 great great grand children. There are three sets of five generations in her family. Blanche worked for The Board of Education Shelby County which she enjoyed. She loved children and made a difference in their lives. Blanche taught Sunday School and Bible Studies all her adult life. Her Faith was lived daily even on her death bed. She leaves a legacy through her children's faith and love for her. Blanche was awarded many outstanding achievements. She loved her family with all of her heart, enjoyed her flowers and garden. She leaves many young friends. The celebration of her life services will be held at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Rd. Bartlett, TN 38133, Sunday April 30th. Family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow the burial.
