Bonnie Powers Gatlin, born August 12, 1939 to the late Robert and Iva Powers passed from this life peacefully at her home in Georgetown, KY on July 22, 2017. Ms. Gatlin, previously of Hernando, MS is survived by her daughters, Tammi Gatlin Shoger (Nathan), Wanda Gatlin Gerth (Glen), Kimberly Gatlin McGinnis and Stacey Gatlin McAllister; 9 Grandchildren, Nicholas Tone, Amber Tone, Heather Waters (Nolan), Matthew McGinnis, Stephanie McGinnis (Daniel), Lauren McGinnis Romans (Timothy), Joshua McAllister (Crystal), Glen Gerth III, Wyatt Gerth; 14 Great Grandchildren, William R. Gatlin of Corinth, MS, father of her children, 2 Nieces, 3 Nephews and 7 Foreign Exchange students, 3 stepdaughters and 2 stepsons, all of whom were so blessed to have known her love. Ms. Gatlin was preceded in death by her sisters, Faye Hogan Mize and Barbara Jernigan Head.

Ms. Gatlin was a graduate of Whitehaven High School, Memphis, TN and retired from Desoto County Administration Board of Supervisors where she served with great affection for the county she loved. She was an incredibly giving and loving woman of faith and will be forever missed and never forgotten. Long live the beauty that comes down and through and onto all of us.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with services in Hernando, MS.
