Casey Corrigan Tidwell was born on August 30, 1954 and went to heaven on April 4, 2017. She graduated from St. Agnes Academy in 1972 and attended the University of Alabama and Memphis State University. She worked at St. Agnes Academy-St. Dominic School for 30 years, beginning in 1982. During her time at SAA-SDS, she held such roles as Director of Admissions and Vice President of Institutional Advancement. She was a member of the St. Agnes Hall of Fame and included as one of the 150 Women Who Made a Difference at the school's 150th anniversary in 2001.

Casey was also active in the community as Queen of Sphinx in 1974, a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, a member and sustainer of the Junior League of Memphis and past president of the Christian Brothers High School Parents Association. She loved the beach, Broadway shows, cooking, celebrating every holiday in style, and spoiling her grandchildren.

Casey was preceded in death by her parents, John and Estelle Corrigan, and her sister, Cathie Corrigan Kirk.

She is survived by her loving husband of over 41 years, J. Clay Tidwell, Sr.; son, J. Clay Tidwell, Jr. (Casey); daughter, Katie Tidwell Hudman (Michael); brother-in-law, George Kirk; brother-in-law, George Tidwell, III; and her six grandchildren – Joseph, Shuler, Cole, and Cash Tidwell and Cory and Ellie Hudman. A special thanks to her dear friend, Mary Harmeier, who was exceptionally loyal to her over the years.

Visitation will be at 5:00-7:00pm Thursday, April 6, 2017, with rosary at 6:45pm, at Canale Funeral Directors, 2700 Union Ave Extended.

A funeral mass celebrating Casey's life will be 1:30 pm Friday, April 7, 2017 at St. Louis Catholic Church, 203 S. White Station Rd. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery.

The family is eternally grateful for the outpouring of love and requests that any donations be sent to St. Agnes Academy-St. Dominic School.
