Dr. Charles Steven Arendall, 62, passed away on September 13, 2017 at his home in Memphis, TN. Born in Warrington, England, he was the son of Pamela Read Arendall and Charles Lewis Arendall. He attended Messick High School, earned his Bachelors and Masters Degrees at Memphis State University, and his Ph.D. at the University of Tennessee. He had been in academics for 35 years, the last 27 at Union University, serving as a Professor of Management and the MBA Director. Steve was the light of every room he entered. The memory of his intense love for his family and friends will be forever cherished. His affinity for cycling, kayaking, bowties and Saints' Football will be remembered always by those whose lives he touched. He is survived by his wife, Belinda House Arendall; children Dena Elisabeth Arendall, Charles Henry Arendall II, Chad Russell House (Heather), Jaclyn Marie Hammons (Chad); his mother Pamela Read Arendall and cousin Peter Read; grandchildren Allyson Nicole Colyar, Elizabeth Anne Colyar, Mason Wayne House, Sawyer Russell Hammons; and numerous friends. A celebration of Steve's life will be held at the River Hall at Harbor Town, 726 Island Dr. in Memphis from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. on Friday, September 22. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Humane Society of Memphis or the Wolf River Conservancy.
