Christopher Phillips Obituary
Christopher Phillips

Memphis, TN

William Christopher Phillips died February 22, 2017, taken from us at the terribly young age of 32. Christopher was a wonderfully curious, free-spirited connoisseur of food, music, life and friends. A thoroughly knowledgeable philosopher about a myriad of secular and spiritual subjects and topics, Christopher was a wonderful conversationalist and a delightful companion to many. He was so loved and will be so missed by his family and friends, including his parents, Lauri and Joe Phillips of Olive Branch; brother, Jason Phillips of Memphis; sister, Jennie Phillips Roberts (Josh) of Nashville; grandmother, Jennie Captino Phillips of Bartlett; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Christopher was a long time friend and colleague of the Memphis restaurant business, most recently with Andrew Michael Italian Kitchen. An enormous music aficionado whose tastes crossed a variety of genres, Christopher had a huge passion for the Beatles, and as a long time "Phish Head," he had joyously traveled around the country dozens of times to see them and many other bands perform. Those who knew him well remember "he didn't have a mean bone in his body". Christopher's dad is grateful they got to witness their beloved Chicago Cubs win the World Series last fall.

A celebration of Christopher's life will be held Tuesday February 28 at 1 p.m., with visitation beginning at 12 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN
