Delbert William Tucker, age 91, passed away on July 24, 2017 at his residence. He was born June 10, 1926 in Union County, MS, to Zollie and Linnie Scott Tucker. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Byhalia. He was a WWII Army Veteran. Delbert was a farmer, carpenter and a machine mechanic at General Electric Co. He was a member of the G.E. Retirement Group. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, gardening, making pecan pies and planting peanuts for his great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 29, at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with Rev. Leland Johnson officiating and Brandon Tucker will deliver the eulogy; burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery in Union County. Browning Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his son, Keith Tucker (Barbara), two step-sons, Keith Moorehead (Tibby) and Mike Moorehead; one sister, Evelyn Riley; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, David Tucker, a daughter, Rannie Lee Tucker, a stepson, Franklin Eugene Moorehead, a brother, Delton Tucker, a sister, Fay Grisham, and this wives, Pauline Tucker, Jean Tucker and Dorothy Tucker.

Pallbearers will be Patrick Grisham, Terry Sturdivant, Ricky Riley, Mitch Donovan, Rick Kesler and Randy Grisham.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday and from 9 to 10 a.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
