Don Herman Earnest, 78, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017 after a long battle with Parkinson's.

Born October 13, 1938 to Lemuel Frank and Ester Lee Lipford Earnest, Don attended the University of Memphis and served with the 4th airborne 117th Infantry, company "C". Following his service he enjoyed a 45 year career as a salesman for Orgill, Inc.

Don is survived by his daughter, Lisa Landman; son-in-law, David Loges and grandson, Robert Landman. He is also survived by his brother, Allen Earnest and his wife, Jean of Moscow, TN, three sisters-in-law, Joann Burch Earnest, Joy Parks Earnest, Betty Parks Earnest Perry and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Leon Earnest, Frank Earnest, JR "Jake" Earnest, James Robert Earnest, and two sisters, Margaret Earnest Ellison and Lucille Earnest Powers.

Don was a devoted fan of the University of Memphis Tigers and will be greatly missed by his fellow fans, family, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service at 1 p.m. Friday, October 6 at Grace St. Luke's Church. The family requests that memorials be made in Don's memory to Baptist Reynolds Hospice House.
