Donna Kaye Littrell Obituary
Donna Kaye Littrell

Destin, FL

Donna Kaye Littrell, age 71, of Destin, FL, passed away on January 28, 2017 after a valiant though short battle with cancer. She was born to Ulice Elrod Raber and Laura May Banks on August 19, 1945 in Henderson, KY.

Donna was a ballet dancer, director of many ballet companies and a leading Matron of the Arts in Memphis during the 1980s-her early efforts helped establish the Memphis Art scene of today. Donna was also a real estate aficionado with licenses in both Tennessee and Florida. With business savvy and the grace of a ballerina, Donna was simply the most gracious, elegant and classy hostess that you could ever imagine. She had the wonderful ability to decorate any house and make it an inviting family home. Donna's house was always home to all. Family and friends regularly gravitated "home" for beach visits and holiday gatherings. Donna was a mother figure to many and an inspiration to everyone.

She is survived by her husband, James Jeffrey Littrell. "St. Jeffrey" doted on, took care of and loved our mom and for her happiness we are eternally grateful. They had true love.

She will be remembered as the Matriarch of the family and is survived by her six children – Troy D. Benitone, Todd B. Benitone, Trevor B. Benitone, Tiffany K. Benitone, Tyler A. Benitone and Trent J. Benitone. She was also a cherished Aunt to Laura Nell Grimes, Matthew Land, Sarah Land and Paul Land. She is predeceased by her loving sisters, Jenny Land and Angel Raber. She was affectionately known as "GranDonna" to her eighteen grandchildren and her two great-grandchildren.

A burial at sea will be held on February, 18th for close family and friends. "Tall Tales from Donna's Perch and other Pseudo True Stories" will be shared in a beautiful ceremony filled with warmth, love, laughter and grandiose accounts and sagas laced with "The Donna Factor".
