Elizabeth "Liz" Tamm Picard, 100, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at her home in Gulf Breeze, FL. Her family was most important to her, and she is survived by her daughter, Tamm Picard Dannheisser and son-in-law, Matt Dannheisser, Gulf Breeze, FL; her grandchildren, Jana Dannheisser Sloan (Matt Sloan), Houston, TX and Matthew Picard Dannheisser, Tampa, FL; her sister-in-law, Phyllis Tamm and nieces and nephews, Laurie Tamm, Sidney (Singheld) Tamm, Marti Tamm and Judy Tamm.

She is preceded by her husband of 52 years, the late Milton Charles Picard and by her brothers, Nathan Tamm, Memphis, TN, Emil (Esther) Tamm, Ft. Smith, AR and her niece, Ellen Tamm.

Born February 15, 1916 in Memphis, TN, Liz lived in Memphis for most of her life but spent the last 17 years in Gulf Breeze, FL. She was a renowned artist in multiple mediums as well as an amateur videographer and writer of children's stories. She attended the Washington University's College of Art in St. Louis. Her last painting was inspired by the aftermaths of Hurricanes Ivan and Dennis, but was intentionally left unfinished as her way of warding off further hurricanes to her adopted hometown of Gulf Breeze. Liz was very philanthropic, having gifted to many charities. She had an immense love of animals, nature, and her family.

Liz' family would like to express special gratitude to her loving caregivers, Darlene Robinson and Shirley Carr, and Covenant Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for contributions to Covenant Hospice at choosecovenant.org or 5041 North 12th Ave., Pensacola, FL 32504 or a .
