Obituary Condolences

GERALD S. WATSON, 83, is home at last. He went to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 21, 2009, after a short battle with cancer. He leaves his beloved wife, Dottie, four children, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Gerry, retired contractor and avid gardener, served the Lord and others throughout his life. He was a member of First Evangelical Church for fifty-two years, serving as usher and deacon, was a Navy veteran of World War II and was an active member of various civic organizations. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, February 24 at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel, with a memorial service at 11 a.m. Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
