Howard Dain Robinson, 59, of Memphis, Tennessee, died on Monday, May 15, 2017, at Methodist Hospice Residence in Germantown. He was born February 19, 1958, in Humboldt, Tennessee. He was the son of Joyce Becton Condron, stepfather Dudley Condron, and Luther Robinson III. Howard was an accomplished guitarist, song writer, and music producer, owning Hi-Wired Recording studio in Memphis, where he recorded many local musicians. At the time of his death, he was a second grade school teacher at Shady Grove Elementary in Memphis. In the past, he taught at Kingsbury Elementary and managed The Musitron in Memphis. During his childhood, he attended First Presbyterian Church in Dyer, Tennessee. In Memphis he attended First Presbyterian (downtown) where he served as an elder for many years. At the time of his passing, he was a member of Idlewild Presbyterian. Howard received his Bachelor of Business Administration from University of Memphis and Masters of Education from Christian Brothers University. Besides his parents, he leaves sisters Elicia Scobey and Allison Stewart of Newbern, Leigh Little-Beyer (Ray) of Eads, nieces Claire Little, Hillary Anderson (Michael), Hannah Stewart, nephew Trevor Scobey, and great nephew Silas Anderson; step-sister Cheryl Leger (Bob) of Collierville, and step-brother Robert Condron (Donna) of Milan. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Donnie Woods and James Becton and paternal grandparents, Estelle Troy and Luther L. Robinson, Jr. and his beloved dog of 17 years, Sonnet. Howard was a cancer survivor for 25 years, but succumbed to his second recurrence.

Visitation will be at 11:30 a.m. with the funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 18 at Canale Funeral Directors. The burial will immediately follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The or to Shady Grove Elementary, Memphis.
