JESSE TYLER MCKINNON, 16, died Friday, July 18, 2008 at his home in Memphis, TN. He was student at Christian Brothers High School, a graduate of Idlewild Elementary and Snowden Middle schools. He was so proud to be a "Brother's Boy". Tyler had a passion for athletics and played with several AAU basketball teams and competitive baseball teams as well as competing in triathlons. He was a great sports fan of his beloved Atlanta Braves and Ole Miss Rebels. His special interest was roller coasters and thrill rides as he traveled around the country to visit various theme parks. He was an excellent fisherman and especially enjoyed being on the Mississippi River. He leaves his heartbroken parents, Derek and Barbara McKinnon, a brother, Sam McKinnon, a sister, Jessica Thompson of Nashville, grandmother, Ailene McKinnon of Senatobia,MS. He also leaves his dogs Tee, Hudson and especially his beloved golden retriever, Dora, who comforted him in his illness. Services will be held Thursday, July 24, at 6 p.m. at Church of the River, 292 Virginia Avenue West, Memphis, TN. A visitation will be held from 5 to 6 Thursday at the church.
