Mary Catherine Callicott passed away at home June 12, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted Christian and a member of Grace Evangelical Church. She graduated from South Side High School where she was Miss South Side and the May Queen in 1945. She married her high school sweetheart, Billy, who lovingly called her "Mary C". They were married for 62 years until his death eight years ago. They had three children, Kathleen Ray (Franklin), Barbara Regenhardt (David) and Bill Callicott (Janet). She was "Mimi" to eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Memphis Area Association of Realtors since 1961 and a Realtor Emeritus. Mary Catherine was a blessing to all who knew her with her contagious smile, outgoing personality and her positive view of people. She loved to bring joy to others through her music by playing either the piano or the accordion. She entertained troops during WWll, played for weddings, nursing homes and retirement communities. She was the choir director and organist for years at Covenant Presbyterian Church. She loved the Lord, her precious Billy and her family. Visitation will be at 3 p.m., Thursday, June 15 at Grace Evangelical Church, 9750 Wolf River Blvd with a memorial service at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the West Tennessee Chapter of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or Grace Evangelical Church.
