Philip Renee Julian, 58, died Monday morning, July 29, 2017, at home of a heart attack in his sleep. He was born January 3, 1959, in Indianapolis, IN, the son of Donald Frederick Julian and Phyllis Katherine Carter Julian.

Philip graduated Wooddale High School class of 1977. While attending Wooddale High, we was a member of the ROTC. After high school he was a volunteer EMS driver for the Red Cross during the strike in Memphis. Once the strike concluded, Philip became a HAM radio operator and longtime member of the HAM Radio Association. His call sign was W4PRJ. In 2002, he obtained his private pilots license. Philip was passionate of his business community while owning National Autow, he was also involved in the TRAA, the TTTA as past vice president, Mid-South Towing Association as past officer. As operating his towing company he was also an instructor for the Traffic Incident Management Systems for the Tennessee Department of Transportation. Philip was also proud of being an active member of the International Towing Museum and Hall of Fame. Being a faithful conservative, he was a proud member of the National Rifle Association of America.

Phil's strong sense of community not only guided his life's work but also influenced his family. His strong love and dedication to his professional community was evident in the leadership contributions he made to the industry as a whole. He was adamant about improving the standards of the professional towing industry.

Philip is survived by his wife, Cindy Tolley Julian of Memphis; son, Jeffrey Thomas Julian of Chicago; brother, Chris Julian and wife Melody of Ottawa, Canada; nephew, Wesley Julian and wife, Jen of Coconut Creek, FL; niece, Rachel Cavalcante and husband, Thiago of Chicago; nephew, Michael Julian of Ottawa. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Frederick Julian and mother, Phyllis Katherine Carter Julian.

Memorial Services will be held at Faith Baptist Church, 3755 North Germantown Road, Bartlett, TN Wednesday, August 2, 2017 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Graveside service will be held at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 375 Pleasant Grove Road, Wildersville, TN 38388 at 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2017.
