After a long illness, Phillip Deloy Mock peacefully walked into the arms of Jesus in the early morning of February 11, 2017.

Phil was born to the late Melvin Hubert Mock, Sr. and the late Hilda Haley Mock on March 23, 1947. He graduated from Senatobia High School in 1965. After high school, he continued his education earning a degree in accounting.

During college, Phil began his career at Dover Elevators. He retired from Dover in 1998. Upon retirement, he tried to stay home and enjoy not working, but that wasn't in his character. From 2007-2012 he was employed by the Tate County Planning Office.

Phil is survived by his daughter and son in law, Hayley and Brent Warren. He leaves behind 2 grandchildren who were his world, Grisham and Ella Grace Warren. He is also survived by his sister in laws Carol Mock, Vicki Pitcock, Jamie Johnson (Don), and Lana Douglas (David). He also leaves behind nieces Renee Thompson (Ken), Penny Taylor (Dudley), and Lauren Moncrief (Kyle). His nephews include David Mock (Jennifer), Britt Pitcock (Kim), Lee Pitcock (Bridgett), Brandon Johnson (Haley), Blake Douglas (Mindy), Garrett Pitcock (Kim), and Nick Douglas (Lindsay). He also leaves behind many great nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Mr. Mock was a member of First Baptist Church in Senatobia and the Harvesters Sunday School class.

During any given Saturday in the fall, you would find him either in Oxford, MS cheering on his beloved Ole Miss Rebels or watching the game from his "Rebel Room" at home. In the spring, he would be found at Swayze Field for the weekend of home baseball games. He was a lover of all things Ole Miss, especially football and baseball and loved sharing those moments with his grandson, Grisham and the friends and family that made up the tailgate crew.

In lieu of flowers, Phil requested that donations be made in his memory and in honor of Adam Taylor to . Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 15 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church Senatobia. Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Bethesda Cemetery.
