Rosemary Foutz Hargrove, 98, died March 11, 2017. She was born November 24, 1918 in St. Elmo, AL, to Frank and Fanette Foutz. She went to nursing school in Mobile, AL, where she met her future husband, Harry Leftwich Hargrove, Jr. It was love at first sight for him. They were married for 50 years. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and only wanted the best for those she loved. She was a faithful, Christian woman, involved in the Episcopal church in Mobile and Memphis. She was in the altar guild, ECW, and prayer groups, and she sang in the choir and played the piano. Rosemary loved to read, sew, and do handwork, and made many beautiful clothes for her grandchildren. She was a beautiful woman, inside and out, and always set a good example for her children. She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, and husband, Harry.

She leaves behind, her son, Harry L. Hargrove III (Joan) of Verbena, AL, and daughter, Rosanne Hargrove Anderson (Paul) of Memphis, three grandchildren, Elizabeth Hargrove Lowman (Jarrett) of Atlanta, Lauren Anderson Stone (Clifton) of Memphis, and Paul Hargrove Anderson (Melissa) of Little Rock; three great-grandchildren, Austen Lowman, Anderson Stone, and Waring Hargrove Stone.

Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 15 at the Church of the Holy Communion. A reception will follow at the church. Burial will be in Pinecrest Cemetery in Mobile, AL.

Any memorials may be sent to Church of the Holy Communion Episcopal Church.
