Germantown, TN

Roveda Chiozza Boyd, 75, went to be with the Lord, June 21, 2017 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Through her many illnesses she modeled grace, bravery and Christ like attitude. Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by her parents, Aldo Chiozza and Sara Woods Chiozza as well as her loving husband; Gene L. Boyd Sr. She was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was happiest in the company of her beautiful grandchildren. Mrs. Boyd was a member of Germantown Baptist Church and former chaplain of the Ladies Italian - American Civic League.

She had a servants heart and enjoyed doing for others as well as cooking and playing cards and being surrounded by her family and close friends. Left behind with fondest memories of her are her aunt Ruby Webb of Germantown, TN, two children, Gene L. Boyd Jr. of Collierville, TN and Loretta Boyd of Germantown, TN, two loving grandchildren, Gene (Trey) L. Boyd III and Rachel Boyd, one sister, Janet Holloway of Germantown, TN and one brother, Frank Chiozza of Tampa, FL as well as a host of beloved cousins, nephews and nieces. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 24th 2017, 12:30 until service time at 2pm at Memphis Funeral Home 5599 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN. Interment will take place at Emory Methodist Church Cemetery in Watson, MS. The family request donations be made to , Operation Blessing, or the .
