Frances Uhlhorn Wunderlich "Teasie", 94, passed away peacefully at her home on August 6, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Walter George Wunderlich; her parents, Frances Stockley and Theodore Gaillard Uhlhorn; her brothers, Walker S. Uhlhorn, William B. Uhlhorn, Horace M. Uhlhorn, and foster brother Sam Carter.

Teasie is survived by her four children: Glo Wunderlich Trigg (George Melton), Walter G. Wunderlich, Jr., Sally Wunderlich Treadwell (Swift) and Lawrence B. Wunderlich. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twelve great-granchildren, and her life-long friend, Aggie Turley.

She graduated from St. Agnes Academy and Rhodes College, where she was a member of Alpha Omega Pi and editor of the yearbook her senior year. She was a communicant of St. Louis Catholic Church for over fifty years where she served as a minister of the Eucharist and Lector. She is a landowner on Centennial Island in Tipton County, Tennessee where her family has held timber and farming interests for nearly 200 years.

Teasie was an avid sportswoman and rode hunters and jumpers competitively in local and regional horse shows until she was 65 years old. She was a field master with the Oak Grove Hunt Club and was a member of the Longreen Hunt Club. After giving up her horses, under doctor's orders, she took up golf. She proceeded to win a Woman's Championship at the Memphis Country Club and recorded a hole-in-one at Bay Pointe Resort in Panama City, Florida where she and Walter owned a home.

She was active in numerous civic and charitable organizations such as Madonna Circle, LeBonheur Club, Woman's Exchange and Kings Daughters. Long active in the Cotton Carnival, she served as both a Duchess and the Queen of Memphi.

The family would like to thank Tomeika Levy, Ella Johnson, Tina Matthews, Aleta Wadlington, and Marsha Powell for their patience and loving care of Teasie. They would also like to thank Emily Jallah of Crossroads Hospice.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 13 at 1:30 p.m. at Saint Louis Catholic Church, 203 South White Station Road, Memphis, TN 38117. Memorial contributions may be sent to a charity of donor's choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.memphisfuneralhome.net.
