Dr. William R. Keller, 91, passed away peacefully at home August 28, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was a resident of the Village at Germantown in Germantown, Tennessee. He was born October 3, 1925 to Leslie L. and Katie Rae Keller of Laurel, Mississippi.

A veteran of World War II, he was a graduate of the Southern College of Optometry practicing for 50 years in Laurel and Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He was active in local civic clubs and the Chamber of Commerce and was an International Director of the Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship International. He was also a Sunday school teacher and choir director.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ann Reynolds Keller; three children, Candace Keller MD, John Keller and Steve Keller; two grandchildren, John Michael and Leslie Ann Keller; and one great-grandchild, Moses Keller.

Special thanks to his devoted caregivers, Dorothy Banks Winston, Joyce Jones, Bettie Piggie, and Rita Anderson; the Village of Germantown and staff; Mary Lou Novak and staff of Mid-South Home Helpers; and his physicians including Dr. Jay Cohen and Dr. Nidal Rahal.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, August 30 at Memorial Park Funeral Home, Memphis, TN. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, August 31 at Renewal Church, Memphis, TN. Visitation in Laurel, MS will be 1:30-2:30 p.m., Saturday, September 2 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with burial to follow in Crestview Cemetery.
