Roger Mitchell Bennett, 84, of Bartlett passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Saint Francis Hospital, Memphis Park. He was a retired Psychologist from the Memphis City Schools System after 30 years of service and worked an additional 20 years plus as owner of Memphis Psychological Services in Bartlett, TN. Dr. Bennett received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Memphis and his EdD and PhD from the University of Tennessee. Dr. Bennett was a board member of the Raleigh SDA church where he was the director of Prison Ministries. Dr. Bennett is survived by his three sons, Ted Bennett (Suzanne) of Brentwood, TN, Todd Bennett of Bartlett, TN, and Tory Bennett of Bartlett, TN; his grandchildren, Austin, Connor, Todd Jr, Tyler, Michael, Morgan and Taylor Bennett; his brother in law, Louis D Pflueger; and his nephews, Jonny, Steve and Danny Pflueger. The family will receive family and friends at the Memphis Funeral Home & Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. Bartlett, TN. on December 3rd for viewing from noon until 2pm, with funeral service starting 2pm with interment to follow, with refreshments following the interment. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to Help Industries (http://helpindustries.org/tax-deductible-donations/) for the continuation of the Prison Ministry program.
