I met the Gonyer family back in 1970. In July of 1972, I was so proud to be able to call Larry Gonyer, my father-in-law. So many Brothers, Sisters, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, neices, nephews and friends and of course Grams. I never had so many relatives in my life. When we all got together, what fun we had. I remember these times, like it was yesterday. Some of the happiest, memorable times of my life. I am so thankful that I had the chance to be part of this family for the 10 years that I was. To me, Larry was like the dad I never had. He always held that special place in my heart, always will. He is at peace now. He will be missed very much.

He was the kindest man we ever knew. Larry was so kind to us, we will never forget him, we were young married and had two junk cars and Larry would make sure we could get to work and pay him on payday. He always referred to us as the kids from Up North. that should not own Volkswagons. We are so grateful for him helping us out over the years as well as Mark and Gary. RIP Larry you were a very special person.

I remember my dad taking our cars to Larry's Arco in the 1960's and 1970's. Mr. Gonyer was a very nice man and a talented mechanic. My condolences to his family and friends.
