Roberta Elaine Leigh Ramsay died suddenly on Thursday January 21st, 2021 from cancer.
She was born August 13th, 1941 in West Stewartstown, NH to Robert and Laura (Frizzell) Leigh.
She lived on the East Colebrook Farm and went to a one room school, she also graduated from Colebrook Academy, Colebrook, NH in 1959. Later, Roberta graduated from Concord NH Nursing School in 1961 and continued working at the Concord, NH Hospital until she retired in 2006.
On September 9th, 1967 she married James C. Ramsay of Concord, NH. They loved to travel and visited many countries including Europe, Canada, Brazil, Bermuda, Australia, New Zealand, as well as every state in the U.S.
She also liked to walk every day, read, deer hunt, and down hill and cross country ski. She was very crafty and an avid seamstress. Roberta was also very active in the Highland games on Loon Mountain in Lincoln, NH every September.
Roberta was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Laura Leigh of Colebrook, NH; her brothers, Rolland Leigh of Colebrook, NH; and Frederick Leigh of Florence, MA; and a sister Joanne Brown of Concord, NH.
She leaves behind her husband, James C. Ramsay of Concord, NH; a sister Donna Beal of Marshfield, Maine; and several nephews, nieces and other cousins; as well as two aunts, Blanche Whitehill of WIndsor Locks, CT and Eleanor Knox of Dallas, NC.
Interment will be a private service at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH later this year.
