Pittfield, NH — Mrs. Leona M. (Eastman) Dragon, age 96, died peacefully at home on Saturday May 15, 2021 afer a period of declining health.

She was born January 5, 1925 to Bezar and Jeanette (Sleeper) Eastman at their home on Bear Hill Road in Loudon, she attended Loudon schools. She was the youngest of 7 children.

She was married to Albert Dragon for 57 years until his death in 2005. They lived the majority of their lives in Pittsfield. She was a homemaker and a caretaker, helping her brother's families as well as her immediate family. She began babysitting some of her nephews when she was just 11 years old. When she was new in Pittsfield, she enjoyed attending the Advent Christian Church and teaching summer bible school. She was a loving, caring, woman who enjoyed helping people.

She was predeceased in death by her husband, parents, 5 brothers and their wives; her sister, 2 great grandsons Damian and Hunter and several nieces and nephews.

She leaves behind her 3 children, daughter Leona A. "Lee", and sons, Dexter and his wife Linda and Randy and his wife Imelda "Mely"; grandchildren, Greg and his wife Erica, Sara, Doug and his wife Rebecca, Kristopher, Belinda M. Byron and her husband Jon; great grandchildren, Timothy, Malia, Michael, Olyn, Brenna and Devlin and Micael Byron; nieces and nephews, and great nieces, and great nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 21 at 1 PM in the Floral Park Cemetery, Pittsfield.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Granite VNA, 30 Pillsbury Street, Concord, NH 03301; or to the Frail Elder Program of Concord Hospital, 248 Pleasant Street, Concord, NH 03301; or to the Pittsfield EMT and Rescue Squad, 33 Catamount Road, Pittsfield, NH 03263.
