WILLIAM B. ANDRADE

Bill Andrade, long time resident of Castro Valley, passed away on March 30th 2016 at the age of 91. His wife of 69 years Audra M. Andrade, and four children, Terry Andrade, Cheryle Weaver, Todd Andrade and Judy Mederos survive Bill. Bill was born in San Leandro CA to August Andrade and Mae Andrade in 1924. Bill joined the Navy in 1941 and proudly served in WW2 while stationed in Hawaii. After leaving the Navy he returned home to start Andrade Concrete Company with his father where he spent his career. When not working Bill enjoyed taking his family waterskiing and spent most of their free time on the waterways of the Delta at the Golden Gate Ski Club. Holidays and vacations were spent at their lake house on Clearlake, where he also enjoyed spending time on the water with family and friends. Bill was an avid golfer and hunter and enjoyed playing weekly rounds of golf at Castlewood Country Club where he was a member. Bill was also an active member of SIRs and a lifelong Raiders fan. Those we love don't go away, they walk with us everyday unseen and unheard but always near. He will be greatly missed by family and friends; his wife, 4 children, 7 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren will never forget him. Visitation will be on Wednesday April 6th Noon to 8:00 P.M with the Rosary beginning at 7:00 P.M. at Santos-Robinson Mortuary, 160 Estudillo Ave in San Leandro. Services to be held on April 7th at 10:30 at Our Lady of Grace, 3433 Somerset Ave in Castro Valley, followed by a burial ceremony. Celebration of life will also be April 7th at 2:00pm; details will be given at the funeral.
